Welcome to Baroque Gypsy Art!

My artistic style has developed out of an appreciation for vintage nostalgia coupled with dreams of the glamour, whimsy, and magic of an old world circus.  The word ‘Baroque’ has an appeal to me in its historic form as a theater art marked by beautiful ornamentation and richness. For me, Baroque Gypsy elicits visions of enchanted traveling shows with beautiful costumes, shanty wagons, whimsical backdrops, elegant music,  starry night skies, and age-old story telling around the primal element of Fire.   That is the kind of magic that I hope to make with my art and the type of art I hope to make with my magic.

I am an artist from the small and cosmic town of Homer Alaska. I am daughter to a ship captain and a green thumbed plant whisperer, and it is to my home, my family, my teachers, and my friends that I owe thanks; for they are the wellspring of my imagination, my curiosity, and my appreciation for  beauty and fine art.

I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in printmaking and photography from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2011. Since that time I have made art making an integral part of my daily life.  I currently work with mixed media in a wide variety of applications.
